Quit whining, GOP
Vail, CO, Colorado
Unfolding news from around the world and dire predictions of doom and gloom should leave no doubt in anyone’s mind that the ship of state is foundering and in danger of sinking.
Therefore, it seems to me that the wise course of action would be for all hands to jump to and begin bailing in unison.
In light of the clear and present danger from many quarters, it confounds me that most Republicans continue whining and fighting over the size of the bailing buckets they have been issued and get with it.
After all, it was on their watch that the vessel carrying all of us hit a reef and tore out parts of its bottom because many of the aids to navigation had been turned off or deactivated by the previous administration.
We have it in our collective power to emerge intact and much stronger from the grasp of this many-headed hydra (the United States has re-invented itself many times over the course of our history).
However, unproductive regret on the part of the Republican Party will do nothing but prolong the downturn and likely will ensure the party in power will stay in power for some time to come as sour grapes yield very bad whine (sic).
