Radiators roll into Red Cliff
RED CLIFF, Colorado -There are very few things you can count on these days, but one thing is for sure, New Orleans rockers The Radiators -still consisting of its five original members – will be on the road playing to packed houses night after night just like they have for the past 31 years. Playing venues ranging from intimate clubs to large festivals, The Radiators have built up a dedicated fan base known as “fish heads” who turn out to hear marathon sets that feature new material, old favorites and eclectic cover songs. It’s a different show every night, which is one of the reasons that “fish heads” have been known to follow the band from town to town. The band kicks off the September leg of its tour with a date at Mango’s in Red Cliff Colorado on Sept. 10. The Radiators also will host a Rad’s Fan Jam at the Grand Lido Hotel & Spa in Negril, Jamaica, from Feb. 3 to 7.In addition the band has just released a “new” CD that was recorded during the early 90’s and is titled “The Lost Southlake Sessions.” These recordings were unearthed when the guys were going through their archives in preparation for last years’ 30th anniversary compilation, “Wild & Free.” The CD features six songs that have never been released and is available at http://www.theradiators.org.
