Ragin’ on the Rio set for Sept. 7-9
Boulder residents John Bodnar and Amy Sobel are throwing Ragin’ on the Rio Music, Yoga & Camping Festival set in the middle of the beautiful mountains and right along the Colorado River, September 7-9. The festival will be held at Rancho del Rio in Bond.Sobel and Bodnar, as co-executive producers of the festival, promise a weekend of great local music, yoga, community, fundraising and camping on an intimate setting in the Rockies. The line up is a combination of funk, jam and bluegrass fusion bands; a dance party all weekend long.An important focus of the festival is giving back to the community. Ragin’ is working with the nonprofit Imagine Yoga Project, whose mission is to bring yoga and other holistic healing to families of low to no income. During the weekend there will be five yoga classes, and any donations made will be given to Imagine Yoga Project.”We wanted a small, Colorado-focused, local festival that could bring together the magic of the mountains with great music from local musicians,” Bodnar said. Sobel and Bodnar have spent much of the past four years living on the road and working for Clean Vibes, a green team that picks up trash and recycling at music festivals. They currently reside in Boulder.Additional Information on the Imagine Yoga Project and its mission can be found at http://www.theimagineyogaproject.org.
