VAIL, Colorado – Rain and snow creep back into the Vail Valley forecast Tuesday, with heavier showers expected on Wednesday, the National Weather Service says. A slight chance of rain and snow, and a high in the mid-50s, is forecast for Tuesday. Temperatures will drop into the low 30s on Tuesday night, when there is a 30 percent chance of rain and snow after midnight, the Weather Service says. The best chance of precipitation is Wednesday. There is a 50 percent of rain and snow, with most of the snow before noon. No more than one inch will accumulate, the Weather Service says. The wet weather could continue Wednesday night and taper off Thursday.
