VAIL, Colorado – Another “major” spring storm is on its way to Vail.

A “vigorous” cold front will move across the region Wednesday night. Rain and snow also could start falling Wednesday night and leave an inch on the ground by Thursday morning, the National Weather Service says.

Winds Wednesday night could gust as high as 50 mph, with temperatures dropping into the 30s.



Snow showers and a high of 38 is the forecast for Thursday. Snow could continue Thursday night, when temperatures will drop into the 20s. Total snow from the storm by Thursday night could be between 4 and 8 inches.

The forecast each day through Monday is mostly cloud and a chance of showers. Temperatures during the day will range from the high 30s to the low 40s.
