Raymond A. Bleesz wins honorable mention award for his photo ‘Croquet in Florida’
Edwards —Edwards-based fine art photographer Raymond A. Bleesz was recently notified by the Curtis Arts & Humanities Center in Greenwood Village, Denver, of his acceptance to a juried photographic exhibition titled “Man & Nature,” juried by Keith Pitman.
Pitman selected Bleesz’s entry, a black and white print titled “Croquet in Florida,” for the honorable mention award. The “Man & Nature” exhibition runs through May 27, and gallery hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Art from passion
Bleesz is an avid croquet player and plays regularly on a team with several neighborhood members in his yard in Singletree. The photographer was in Florida on a recent vacation and was invited to the Hammock Club in Palm Beach to view the course, which resulted in this photograph depicting several courses, referee chairs and sun umbrellas along the Florida coastline, with housing in the background.
This photographic print was shown recently at the Art of the Valley Gallery at Chapel Square in Avon. Other photographic work by Bleesz can been viewed at Brush Creek Dry Goods in The Riverwalk at Edwards.
