Aspiring athletes who’ve been thinking about joining a triathlon can jump right in with a friendly ride over to Mango’s in Red Cliff on Sunday, where the Allegria Spa will be celebrating a season of successful rides with free drinks and raffle prizes, including massages at Allegria Spa in Beaver Creek. “(The public) will have a chance to do a community ride with the team, and when we get to Mango’s everybody can celebrate and win some great prizes,” said The cLub at Allegria Spa’s Kera Baggot. “We’ll have team members in jerseys as ambassadors. They can ask us anything, from joining the triathlon team to getting memberships at The Club at Allegria Spa.”

Riders will meet between 11:30 and 11:45 at the Holy Cross Ranger Station and begin a casual ride on U.S. Highway 24 to Mango’s in Red Cliff. Free shuttles will be available for riders on the way back, and non-riders are welcome to come.Raffle prizes include one-week memberships to The Club at Allegria Spa, massages and other tasty freebies. Personal trainers will also be on hand to answer fitness questions and discuss programs offered at Allegria. A keg of beer will be provided for riders and guests, along with food and drink specials.

Allegria Spa’s triathlon team ran races in Boulder, Aurora and Steamboat this year, and they have plans to expand the team next year and perhaps aim for U.S. Triathlon certification. Future team plans will be up for discussion at the Mango’s event. For more information, contact Kera Baggot at 970-827-4933, extention 4304, or email
