Red Rocks fall victim identified as 29-year-old Vail man

MORRISON — A man who fell to his death from the rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheater has been identified as a 29-year-old Vail man.
The Denver Post reports (http://dpo.st/1U2PztV ) that the Jefferson County coroner identified the man as Spencer Cooke. A friend also fell Friday after the Yonder Mountain String Band concert. That man was only injured.
Authorities say that Cooke fell as far as 100 feet.
The injured man apparently was knocked unconscious when he fell. He may have suffered a concussion.
The sunshine woke him up Saturday morning, he later told rescuers.

He crawled down a trail to the parking lot and collapsed.
Two passers-by found the man and called 911. It took rescuers another half hour to find Cooke’s body.
