Red Sandstone Road to Piney Lake reopened following vehicle recovery from fatal rollover in July
Fatal rollover occurred on July 23 around 4 p.m.

Red Sandstone Road up to Piney Lake is closed in both directions for the recovery of a truck. There is no estimated time for reopening. Please use alternative routes to access Piney Lake.
A towing company is assisting the Colorado State Patrol with the recovery of a white Ford F-250 that went off the road on July 23 at approximately 4 p.m. The truck went off the road in the 1000 block and rolled down a 360-foot embankment.
Randy White, 50, of Debeque, was killed in the rollover, and was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Corporal Shauna Swale of the Colorado State Patrol said just before noon on Tuesday that the extrication of the vehicle was taking longer than expected.
