Red Sky hosts a big fund-raiser Saturday

WOLCOTT This should be some silent auction. And some dinner, too.The Red Sky Golf Club will host Dreams of a Lifetime, a fund-raising dinner and silent auction for the Steadman Hawkins Foundation on Saturday, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Money raised at the event will benefit the foundations orthopedic research and educational programs.Silent auction items include: Trekking in Nepal: This trek will be guided by Pete Patterson, former Olympic skier and his wife, Kim Jacobs, through the Khumbu region of Nepal. Bid to guest host TV8s Good Morning Vail show. Spend three days on the set with seasoned morning show host Lynda Gustafson learning all about life both behind and in front of the camera. The winner will then head to New York, stay at the Westin Times Square and join 60 Minutes Ed Bradley in the CBS studios for a private tour and lunch. The visit to New York might also include time on the set during the shows taping. Private dinner for eight at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Steadman. Dinner includes two three-liter bottles of B.R. Cohn 2001 Olive Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. San Francisco great white shark encounter. This item includes flights to San Francisco and three nights at the Waters Edge Bed & Breakfast. Travel by luxury boat 30-miles off the coast of California to the Farrallon Islands, one of the best places in the world to view great white sharks. Watch from the safety of the worlds largest shark cage as the kings of the deep go about their daily feeding rituals. A special chefs table tasting for six at the award-winning Larkspur Restaurant along with a very special pairing of Duckhorn Vineyards wine.
