Registration under way for Vail holiday ice show

VAIL, Colorado – Registration to participate in the Skating Club of Vail’s annual ShowTime Holiday ice skating show is under way until Oct. 27. The show offers skaters of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to participate in two public ice shows during the winter holiday celebration.

This winter’s performance, “Into the Wild…On Ice,” will have skaters performing to songs such as “Lion Sleeps Tonight, “Wild Boys” and “Africa,”plus special numbers including “New York New York”and “Son of Man.”

The show is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Dec. 28 and 29 at Dobson Ice Arena.

Practice will take place on various days Dec. 2-26 with dress rehearsal on Dec. 27 at Dobson Ice Arena.

Costs are $130 per participant for one number and $100 for each additional number. Costs include classes, rehearsal time, costumes, choreography and skate rentals.

In addition to the holiday skating shows, Dobson offers a variety of skating opportunities including public skating, ice hockey lessons and leagues, skating classes and private lessons.
