The Eagle Valley’s high schools this weekend host the Northwest League Honor Band, which will play a free concert at 6 p.m., Saturday, at the Vilar Center for the Performing Arts at Beaver Creek. The honor band is composed of nearly 130 players from 12 area high schools. Performers were picked by their band directors. Eagle Valley High School musicians are: Alex Gamble, Brad Gamble, Felicia Hill, Dan Lewis, Matt Luczkow, Heather Mann, Jessica Medsker, Lewis Mirelez, Tawnya Molina, Ashley Padgett, Jennifer Parmenter, Max Vogelman and Rachel Welker Battle Mountain High School is sending Nathan Ball, Davis Gual, Dorothy Morton, Riley Pack and Erica Ring. In addition, members of CU’s Wind Symphony will perform Saturday, and that group’s musicians will help mentor honor band students during Saturday’s rehearsals. Be Berry happy
The good folks at Berry Creek Middle School are running a fund-raiser Nov. 13, the half day of school. It’s lunch at BCMS at 11:30 a.m., then they walk over to the Riverwalk Theater to watch The Santa Clause II. Snacks will be provided. They will have parent supervision. The pickup is 3:30 p.m. at the theater. It costs $25 per student, $15 for a sibling. Elementary students are welcome at 1 p.m. at the theater for $15. Call Terry Mutter, 926-1530. You need a signed permission slip, and it has to be turned in by Nov. 11.
