Remembrace Ride

A long parade of the valley's fire, police and ambulance crews lined up at Freedom Park in Edwards on May 9 for the first-ever "remembrance ride." The ride honored local emergency service people who have died in the line of duty over the decades. Nearly 300 people turned out for the event, which ended with speeches and lunch at Donovan Park in Vail. Cooks for the crowd were Tom McNeill of Gourmet Cowboy, left, and Dave Richardson of Vail's Public Works Department.
