In an effort to gear up for this winter, the Vail Chamber & Business Association, along with Vail Resorts and the town of Vail, are sponsoring the Disney Institute in Vail for a professional development program and workshop Sept. 22 at the Lodge at Vail from 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.This is a full day program that focuss on the hows and whys of Disneys success in ever-changing markets and economies over the years. It is times like these when individuals and businesses really need to shine in their customers eyes to weather the storm. The principles and strategies the Disney executives will cover are proven to work and can help all of us take ourselves and our businesses to the next level regardless of the economy. Since 1986, Walt Disney World Resort has hosted millions of business people from 35 countries and 40 industries in a variety of professional development programs and workshops. These programs take business professionals behind the scenes to meet with Walt Disney World Resort management and explore the topics of people management, quality service, loyalty, leadership excellence and managing for creativity.Since 1995, The Disney Keys to Excellence has served to combine the core content from these programs resulting in a day of training that brings Disney Institute programming to the local community.The Disney Keys to Excellence program contains four core topics, arranged to provide the best learning experience for the participants. Topics include: Leadership, Disney style; Management, Disney style; Service, Disney style; and Loyalty, Disney style. The leadership session explores how effective leadership has been the catalyst at Disney to drive employee and customer satisfaction and bottom-line results. In the management session, people will understand the importance of integrating your corporate culture into selection, training and care. Topics include how to establish a culture through learning by design, select and hire right-fit employees, train and motivate employees and create a supportive environment. In Service, Disney style, participants will examine Disney principles for service excellence. Topics include how to develop a service philosophy, learn tools to support a service culture and deliver on the service theme. In the loyalty session, participants, will learn key practices and principles in building and sustaining loyalty that have made Disney a trusted and revered brand around the world for more than 75 years.The registration deadline is approaching and tables are selling fast.
