Residence Inn to replace The Roost

WESTMONT, ILL. — Vail Hotel Owner ESHV, LLC has announced work is scheduled to begin next week on the new Residence Inn by Marriott — Vail, on North Frontage Road in Vail. The upscale, extended-stay hotel is being developed on the site of the former Roost Lodge Vail. There are currently 630 Residence Inns worldwide, with an additional 131 currently in development.

Located along Interstate 70 in West Vail, the extended-stay hotel will feature 176 guest suites outfitted with full kitchens and separate sleeping and living areas. Room configuration will include a variety of studios, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites. The four-story property will also feature complimentary hot breakfast daily, an evening manager’s reception, an outdoor pool, hot tubs and firepits, a fitness room, business center and other guest amenities including participation in the Marriott Rewards loyalty program.

The project team for the development includes design firm O’Bryan Partnership Architects, in collaboration with Haselden Construction. Randy May, former Director of Development for Vail Resorts, will serve as owner’s representative throughout the development process.

Projected opening date for the hotel is spring of 2016. The property will be operated by Portfolio Hotels and Resorts.
