Restaurant owners, son dead in Springfield fire

Authorities say the three people who died in a restaurant fire in Springfield, Colorado, were the owners and their teenage son.

Baca County coroner identified them as 56-year-old Rocky Michael Saldana, 47-year-old Pamela Denise Saldana and their 17-year-old son Jazz Michael Saldana.

The family lived in a residence attached to the restaurant. The fire broke out early Friday morning when the restaurant was closed.

The Colorado Bureau of Investigation is investigating the cause of the fire and hasn’t released a cause yet. Baca County spokesman Chris Sorensen said foul play isn’t suspected.

Springfield is a town of about 1,400 in the state’s southeastern corner.
