Restorative yoga workshop set for Saturday in Vail
VAIL CO, Colorado
VAIL – The Vitality Center at Vail Mountain Lodge and Spa hosts a Anjali Restorative Yoga workshop this weekend, offered by Julia Clarke on Saturda. “Anjali Restorative Yoga: The Chakra Sequence” is a 90-minute therapeutic and meditative yoga practice accessible to all levels of practitioner and will be offered at both 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
In this practice you will be guided through seven supported postures that elicit a physical and intuitive connection to the seven Chakras, or energy centers in the body. As your body is held in natural alignment by bolsters and blankets, you will experience the archetype and energetic resonance of each Chakra from root to crown.
“We’ll explore some universal ideas in ways that are relevant and meaningful to you in your own life,” said Clarke, who first brought Anjali Restorative Yoga to Vail two years ago.
Anjali Restorative Yoga was created in 2004 by Shannon Paige, founder of Om Time yoga studio in Boulder, who discovered yoga after battling cancer. It is a restful practice where the practitioner is guided through a series of meditations and thoughtful visualizations while the body is held and supported by soft bolsters, pillows, and blankets.
Space is limited so the workshop is being offered twice to fulfill demand. The workshop costs $20 and advance registration is recommended. For information, or to register, visit http://www.vailvitalitycenter.com or call 970-476-7960.

Are we seeing more bears because there are more bears on the valley floor, or because we’re all spending more time at home? It could be a bit of both.
