Reunion at The Club
December 18, 2003
It’s been five years since George Hilliard and Bruce Crichton played guitar together, and eight since they did it at The Club in Vail.
Crichton and Hilliard reminisce tonight and Saturday at The Club starting at 10 p.m.
“It should be a lot of fun,” said Hilliard. “For people who lived in Vail back then, we’ll jam so good tunes.”
Hilliard and Crichton put on an acoustic show at The Club from 1987 to 1995. Then, they moved to Atlanta and played at Hilliard’s bar, “Buckhead Saloon.” Hilliard has since moved back to the valley, while Crichton continued his musical career and currently resides in Hilton Head, Ga.
“He’s one of the most talented guitarists I’ve ever known,” said Hilliard. “Me, I’m just a goof. So, I’ll be over there slamming my beers, and he’ll be making me look good. It usually turns out to be a pretty sweet show.”
