Ranked among the best 18-hole golf courses in the country by a handful of national golf publications, River Valley Ranch (RVR) has already proven itself among golfers in the Roaring Fork Valley.

Located just 30 miles north of Aspen, this Jay Morrish-designed championship course is cradled in the Crystal River Valley just below majestic Mount Sopris. It features four holes along the banks of the Crystal River, including the course’s famous No. 7. The award-winning design also features striking bunkers, large greens, elevation changes and water features created to take full advantage of the breathtaking mountain and Crystal River Valley views. In addition, there is a stellar driving range, putting and chipping green, practice green and top-notch pro shop.

River Valley Ranch has a great commitment and an established connection to the Roaring Fork Valley community. The course is owned by Crown Golf Properties, the same Crowns that own the Snowmass Club and Golf Course in nearby Snowmass Village, as well as the Aspen Skiing Company. Rates for the 2004 summer season (June 1 to Sept. 6, 2004) are: 18 holes, $90; Hot Summer Deal (after 1 p.m.) $70; Twilight (up to18 holes after 3 p.m.), $50; Super Twilight (up to 9 holes after 5:30 p.m.), $35; Nine holes, $50; Replay (no cart) $20.
