Rock slide causes backup in Dowd Junction
Vail CO, Colorado
An eyewitness and Vail Police dispatch reported that a rock slide caused backups in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 in Dowd Junction about midnight Wednesday night.
The dispatcher said that the main rocks were cleared from the road and that traffic was moving slowly. She said that as rocks were cleared, traffic should flow more smoothly.
The dispatcher also said that the Colorado Department of Transportation was en route to help with the cleanup.
No injuries have been reported to police.
