Rocks Modern Grill names executive chef

BEAVER CREEK ” Rocks Modern Grill at Beaver Creek Lodge has appointed Aaron Bennett as executive chef.

Bennett comes to the 72-room Beaver Creek Lodge and Rocks Modern Grill from the Ritz-Carlton Club in Aspen where he served as executive chef and food and beverage manager since August of 2003. There, he oversaw all management and staff for the dining room, room service and banquets.

Before working at The Ritz-Carlton, Bennett worked his way through various culinary positions at both The Little Nell in Aspen and Denver’s Brown Palace Hotel.



“We are thrilled to have Chef Bennett here at Beaver Creek Lodge,” said Simon Chen, general manager of the hotel. “His strong culinary sense and eagerness to create unique and original menus will guarantee a spectacular dining experience for our guests.”

Strong management skills, the creation of original menus, and a large diverse repertoire of recipes serves as the basis for Bennett’s philosophy.

“I don’t want to reinvent the wheel ” I just want to make really good food,” Bennett said.

Located in Beaver Creek Village, Rocks Modern Grill offers indoor and outdoor seating options and is known for its daily rotisserie specials and classic American fare with regional influence on flavor and presentation. Rocks Modern Grill is a family restaurant with a unique ambiance. Rocks on the Run, a deli market, features sandwiches, pastries, juice and coffee to go. Rocks Modern Grill is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Hours of operation are 7 to 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
