BEAVER CREEK, Colorado ” Organizers of the Rocky Mountain Yoga Conference encourage people to come rejuvenate after the winter season Friday through Sunday at Ford Hall and the Park Hyatt in Beaver Creek.

The conference offers yoga classes for all levels. Participants can take a nutrition class, enjoy a workshop on color therapy, dance to live music, learn about holistic therapies and relax in the Aqua Sanitas at the Allegria Spa.

Interested parties can register for the whole conference for $165. They can sign up online or pay at the door. It is possible to come just for a class as well. Individual classes cost $40 apiece.

The weekend kicks off with a dinner and concert featuring the vocal stylings of Ariana Saraha, and Megan Yalkut, a world renowned Sarode master. The duet’s Indian Raga music will set a serene tone.

Classes commence at 7 a.m. on Saturday morning with an all-level meditation session and continue through 3 p.m. on Sunday.

Participate in The Longevity Project

The Longevity Project is an annual campaign to help educate readers about what it takes to live a long, fulfilling life in our valley. This year Kevin shares his story of hope and celebration of life with his presentation Cracked, Not Broken as we explore the critical and relevant topic of mental health.

For those who have the kids in tow this weekend, kids yoga camp will also be running for the duration of the conference. It will offer kids yoga classes, art classes, and outdoor activities a safe, comfortable learning environment.

The conference started last year as a fundraiser for Yoga World Reach, a Colorado-based non-profit that encourages yoga instructors and other wellness professionals to take the teachings of yoga throughout the world and promote peace through inner empowerment. The programs range from research-based examinations of how yoga, mediation, and alternative therapies can help the global community, to helping to create yoga programs for correctional facilities, crisis prevention centers, women’s shelters, schools and homeless shelters.
