Kristi Ferrell is running a four-week acting seminar for those who aspire to the large and/or small screens. She was Roxie Shayne in the CBS soap opera “Guiding Light,” and a four-time Emmy nominee. She appeared as a regular in a bunch of series and in three feature films, which is more than anyone you know.Kristi has taught acting in a bunch of schools around the country, including Los Angeles and Dallas. The seminars start Saturday, and runs Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. This is a chance for volunteers from the 60 plus local non-profit groups to get a jump on hours that translate intodollars for their organizations after the sale. Donations of clean, useable items in good condition, will also be taken during work hours.Poster contest pays $500The winner of first Eagle County Fair and Rodeo poster contest will be the official rodeo promotional piece. Fair Board member Ron Howell said the winner will also receive a $500 scholarship, donated by the Eagle County Republicans.The contest is open to middle and high school students, and entries must be submitted by noon, Wednesday, May 28. The artwork will be official promotional poster of this year’s Eagle County Fair and Rodeo. The fair is scheduled for July 30-Aug. 3.
