Salvation Army rings bells Friday

EAGLE COUNTY ” Vail Valley Salvation Army volunteers will begin ringing bells outside supermarkets and other stores on Friday.

The bell ringing is the organization’s biggest fundraiser, collecting more than $43,000 last year.

Volunteers are needed to ring the bells through Dec. 24 for two-hour shifts between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. at the following locations: City Markets (Vail, Avon, and Eagle), Safeway, Wal-Mart, Edwards Village Market and Columbine Market in Gypsum.
