VAIL, Colorado – Samana Lounge in Vail Village hosts the second annual end-of-season fundraiser supporting volunteer efforts in Japan. Dance for Japan will feature Samana resident DJ’s Adam Ross, Ramona and Psychonaut, plus special guests including Calgary’s Smalltown DJ’s.

The event is free but donations will happily be accepted at the door starting at 9 p.m.

The event supports All Hands Volunteers ( and their community volunteer efforts in Japan, helping people get their lives back together. All Hands is focusing their initial efforts clearing debris from homes in Sakari, a neighborhood of Ofunato that was right at the edge of the water. Much was lost, but the local sentiment is that enough was left that the neighborhood can come back quickly and be a catalyst and symbol of recovery for the rest of Ofunato.

“The fact that Japan is a developed country has curtailed donations and other relief efforts but we have to understand that they need our help,” said Scotty Stoughton, talent buyer for Samana Lounge. “Even a small act, such as this benefit, shows support for their country and channels money directly to people on the ground helping to rebuild one community at a time.”
