VAIL, Colorado” What do Dr. John, Coolio, Bassnectar, Karl Denson, Drew Emmitt, dj Greyboy, Cyrill Neville, EOTO, Stanley Jordan, dj Mark Farina and Particle all have in common? Samana Lounge in Vail. Those musicians and more have performed at the Bridge Street club in the four years its been open.

Samana Lounge celebrates their four-year anniversary with six nights of unique live music and electronic talent, beginning tonight. Samana has been featured in Elle Magazine, Skiing, Ski, Snowboarder and numerous local and Front Range media.

Created in 2004 by Scott Stoughton, Samana has quickly gained national and international attention as an intimate, friendly club loaded with character and style, not trendy ambiance.

“After touring the country playing music and spending time in Europe, I was motivated to create a club that was built around people, not the latest trends,” Stoughton said. “I was after a cozy, candle-lit atmosphere that was welcoming yet unpretentious with a variety of music.

“We bring in live acts and artists that are true to their art and bring energy and excitement to the stage,” he continuted. “We feel very honored with the local and national support we’ve received and by the high caliber of artists we’ve managed to bring into our family! We always get the same feedback from the touring artists ” the crowd that comes to Samana is musically educated, respectful and totally full of energy. That means the world to me and the staff here at Samana.”
