Staff Reports

As a CU graduate and a founding member of the now defunct Colorado rock band, Mucis, Christopher Hawley helped to bring psychedelic beats all over Colorado. Despite Hawley’s love for the state, however, the band only recorded one record before breaking up. Hawley ended up moving to California. All that was fine because Hawley eventually found his calling as a solo artist. He released a solo acoustic album, Naked Songs, in 2000 that directed national attention to his aggressive finger-style technique and jazzy, original tunes, all of which form a style that is suited to live performance.Christopher Hawley will play a special St. Patrick’s Day show at the Sandbar Sports Grill on March 17 and 18 as part of their aprs ski happy hour, proudly known as the longest happy hour in the valley.– Chris BlackWho: Christopher HawleyWhere: Sandbar Aprs Ski Happy Hour, West VailWhen: March 17 & 18, 3 8 p.m.
