Santa’s workshops coming to Vail

VAIL, Colorado – Kids can make gifts, ornaments and treats, and visit Santa, at Santa’s workshops throughout Vail on Wednesdays in December.

The workshops, which take place from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., are free for children ages two to 10 and their families. Each workshop will include a story reading as well holiday card making. The holiday cards will then be sent to children in local and regional hospitals. Free gift wrapping for purchases in Vail will be provided by local nonprofit organizations.

The locations for the workshops are:

Today: Lodge at Vail, Vail Village

Dec. 9: Vail Plaza Hotel and Club, Meadow Drive

Dec. 16: Blue Moose Pizza in Lionshead

Dec. 23: Holiday Inn, West Vail

The workshops are organized by the Vail Recreation District and Vail Chamber and Business Association. For more information, call the rec district’s Youth Services department at 970-479-2292.
