MINTURN — It’s still summertime in Colorado, and that means incredible live music with your friends and family in beautiful venues. The annual Summer School of Rock benefit concert is Saturday at the Little Beach Amphitheater in Minturn.
The evening will be a musical summertime delight. The concert benefits the Education Foundation of Eagle County. The all-star lineup starts with Tony Gulizia and Brian Luftus from Jazz Goes to School. The Summer School of Rock campers are ready to hit the stage in true rock ‘n’ roll fashion with their music director, Jake Wolf, of Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Review.
Also performing will be Vail local and three-time Grammy award winner Rob Eaton, of Dark Star Orchestra, and his son Rob Eaton Jr., of Drunken Hearts; National flatpicking champion guitar virtuoso Tyler Grant, of Grant Farm Band; and special guest Eagle County Schools Superintendent Jason Glass.
The Summer School of Rock benefit concert is going to be a fun-filled, family-friendly evening of great live music in support of local public schools. The evening’s sponsors — Moe’s BBQ, Magusto’s, Crazy Mountain Brewery and Southern Wine and Spirits — will provide food and drink for purchase and/or requested donation. All proceeds from the concert will benefit Eagle County Schools’ elementary music education programming. To purchase your ticket for the event, visit http://www.efec.org.
