Schools host performance pay conference

AVON, Colorado – Eagle County School District recently held a national conference on performance pay.

About 200 people from roughly 13 states attended The 2010 National Workshop on Strategic Compensation in October at the Ritz-Carlton in Bachelor Gulch.

The workshop gave school district practitioners from across the country the chance to hear from and work directly with national experts in a variety of areas including designing performance pay systems, professional development, data and technology, student assessments, quality evaluations and leadership.

One of the main goals of the conference was for participants to leave with plans for how they could successfully implement strategic compensation systems in their own districts, something the Eagle County School District has already done.
