Sean Riley, 1960-2009, of Wolcott

Sean Alan Riley passed away Saturday after fighting cancer for a brief time. Mr. Riley was 49.
He was born in Denver on Feb. 7, 1960. His parents were the late Joseph and Shirley Sally (Smith) Riley.
As a child, Sean moved with his family to Hot Springs, S.D. and went to school there. He married the former Linda Adams in Wall, S.D. In the early 1980s the Riley family moved to Colorado and settled in Leadville but worked in Wolcott where they were living at the time of Mr. Riley’s death.
Sean enjoyed fishing, camping and gold panning and just being with his family.
Mr. Riley is survived by his wife, Linda Riley, of Wolcott; children Melissa (Shawn) Bohanan, of Mo., Julie (Billy) Graham, of S.D., Shad (Kirsten) Curtis, of Minn., Shirley Schroeder, of Leadville, Shawna (Jesse Boyden) Riley, of Leadville, and Samantha Galloway, of Kan. Sean is also survived by his brother, Neal (Carolyn) Riley, in Okla.; 11 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter.
A memorial service is planned for 10 a.m., Thursday at the Community Church of Leadville. Pastor Carey Green will officiate.
