REDSTONE, Colorado – A Colorado National Guard helicopter is helping sheriff’s investigators search for a 61-year-old man who has been missing since July 30 near Redstone.
The Army says two guardsmen are on the helicopter searching an area of 5 square miles in Pitkin County. Authorities were initially searching an area of 50 square miles for William Worley, of Redstone.
Worley’s car was discovered Aug. 3 on the East Creek trailhead, two days after he was reported missing. The sheriff’s office is leading the search.
Redstone is about 35 miles southwest of Aspen.
