Search for three new principal winding up
EAGLE COUNTY – The Eagle County School District is winding up its the search for three new principals. Battle Mountain High School, Eagle Valley Elementary School and Brush Creek Elementary School will have new faces in charge for the 2005-2006 school year. Interviews were conducted last week and the school communities have a chance to meet the finalists for their respective schools this week. The district had nearly 40 qualified applicants for the positions, says superintendent John Brendza. “Many of the candidates who were interviewed last week are not from our area,” Brendza said.Because of that, the informal community meetings are a great way to meet those finalists, he said. For more information on when those meetings occur or for more information on the selection process, call the superintendent’s office at 328-6321, ext. 8.
