Second "Ranch House Steak Night’ serves up the public

Daily Staff Report

The second installment of 4 Eagle Ranch’s new Ranch House Steak Nights series is set to serve up a slice of Independence Day Americana for the entire family Saturday at the historic homesteaded ranch in Wolcott.Expanding on the tenderloin and top sirloin cuts that 4 Eagle Ranch is known for, owners Tom and Tess Backhus created the steak nights in conjunction with their new summer-long family dining series, the Sunset Dinner Evenings Series.”We have always taken great pride in providing the best cuts of meat for our guests,” explained Tom Backhus. “And the Ranch House Steak Nights concept was really a matter of taking that philosophy to the next level. It’s a perfect fit for the ranch and it’s a great way to celebrate the Fourth of July weekend with family and friends.”The steak night will feature a variety of cuts of beef, from 8-ounce filet to 24-ounce porterhouse, all grilled to individual preference. Complementing the steaks will be side dishes, including sauteed portabella mushrooms, colossal baked potatoes or garlic mash potatoes, while a kids’ menu of burgers, hot dogs and macaroni and cheese will also be available. In addition to the variety of steaks, Ranch House Steak Nights will also feature an array of unique smotherings collected from around the country, including a green chili and mushroom topping from the Pink Adobe in Santa Fe and a garlic, olive oil and crushed black pepper basting, inspired by Gene and Georgetti’s Steak House in Chicago. Also featured throughout the course of the evening will be a singer/guitarist, along with a campfire, marshmallow roasting and horseshoes. There will be family activities and photo-friendly opportunities, including Reject the buffalo. Evening horseback rides may also be arranged, before or after dinner.Reservations for Ranch House Steak Nights are appreciated but not required. Please contact 4 Eagle Ranch at 926-3372 for information, menu pricing and availability.Along with Ranch House Steak Nights, 4 Eagle’s new Sunset Dinner Evenings Series will also include a trio of Bluegrass & BBQ events, as well as the Western Family Nights.4 Eagle Ranch is located four miles north of Wolcott on Highway 131.
