See Earth Day film at Avon library
Vail, CO Colorado
AVON – The Academy Award-winning documentary “The Cover” will be shown at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Avon library in honor of Earth Day. “The Cove” is the second in the library’s spring series of films that celebrate the planet and Earth Day.
“The Cove” follows a team of activists, filmmakers and freedivers who use microphones and cameras hidden in fake rocks to discover ecological damage occurring in a remote and hidden cove in Taiji, Japan. The result is a mix of investigative journalism, eco-adventure and arresting imagery.
“The Cove” was directed by Louie Psihoyos and produced by Paula DuPre Pesmen and Fisher Stevens. For a complete schedule of upcoming films, visit the Eagle Valley Library District’s Web site at http://www.evld.org. All film screenings are free and open to the public.
