VAIL — The Squash Blossom will host “The World of Contrasts” with a personal appearance by Peter Schmid of Atelier Zobel. For over 20 years, Schmid has been creating handmade jewelry at Atelier Zobel in Constance, Germany.
Atelier Zobel resonates with both art and jewelry lovers. Schmid’s design style is exemplified by a painterly surface treatment of pure gold and platinum fused to silver. The use of beautiful and unusually cut gemstones and natural phenomena makes each piece of jewelry unique. These pieces are highly collectable and instantly identifiable. This jewelry has a wonderful balance that is both artistry and function. Schmid understands that jewelry can not only transform the wearer by how a piece looks, but also by how it feels.
“The people who wear our jewelry stand out from the crowd, like a great smile,” he said.
“The World of Contrasts” show will be a wonderful chance to see over 200 one-of-a-kind pieces created by his studio for this event.
Visit The Squash Blossom Friday through Sunday to meet Schmid and see this collection.
