Seeking failure?

During a recent interview, Rush Limbaugh said of Barack Obama, “I want him to fail.”

I say, “What the hell is he thinking?”

First, stop for a moment and imagine our thoughts if Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, the president of Iran, uttered those same words. Our obvious reaction would be: “He’s a nut. What do you expect?” And yet the reaction to Mr. Limbaugh’s same stupid words include too much agreement and tolerance and damned little vocal or written criticism.

And so I wonder, are there too many of us who don’t understand that the election is over? Don’t we all understand that we must rejuvenate our struggling economy and find a reasonable end to the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan? And don’t we comprehend that our president is our elected leader and deserves our patience and
