EAGLE ” A man who is accused of sexually assaulting a young girl at least three times through several years was arrested Monday, according to police records.

Martin Manuel Dominguez-Escarsega, 29, of Eagle, was arrested on suspicion of three counts of felony sexual assault on a child, according to an Eagle County Sheriff’s Office report.

The three counts are related to three separate incidents, he said. The girl accused Dominguez-Escarsega of fondling her when she was 8 and several other times during the following years, the report says.

Dominguez-Escarsega assaulted the girl as recently as “February or March” 2007 and attempted to assault her July 13, the report says.

Police records show Dominguez-Escarsega lives in Eagle, but he is “transient” and has lived in Minturn, said Detective Terry Simpkins of the Eagle Police Department.

Dominguez-Escarsega is being held in Eagle County jail on a $100,000 bond.

The girl’s name, age and town of residence are being withheld.

The girl called Dominguez-Escarsega without his knowing that police were also on the line, the report says.

During the phone call, Dominguez-Escarsega admitted to touching, kissing and other acts, the report says.

Dominguez-Escarsega was molested when he was 3 or 4 years old, he told police, the report says.

Dominguez-Escarsega guessed he had had “sexual relations” with the girl between “five and 10” times during the past “five or six” years, the report says.
