Sexual assault suspect still at large

VAIL – Police was still searching Sunday for a man they believe sexually assaulted a woman Saturday evening in the Vail Transportation Center.Vail Police officer Rusty Jacobs said the search continued, but wouldn’t say anything else.The alleged victim was apparently walking to her car in the third level of the parking structure when she was attacked at about 9 p.m., Vail Police Officer Lee Demarest said Saturday. The suspect ran away when other pedestrians in the garage intervened, and he was last seen exiting the west end of the parking structure near 8150, Demarest said. The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, 5 feet 10 inches tall, thinly built, weighing 150-160 pounds. He has shoulder-length hair worn in a pony tail, and his hair is shaved on the sides. He has a scruffy beard. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a white tank top, a gray nylon shell jacket, white tennis shoes and a white bandana. He was possibly carrying a walking cane and wearing a silver chain.
