VAIL VALLEY, Colorado –The Battle Mountain High School Players will present “Shakespeare Straight Up” to Colorado’s Vail Valley this week. It’s the Bard as you have never seen or heard him,-on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday in the Edwards school’s new Center for the Performing Arts.

Thursday’s and Saturday’s performances begin at 7:30 p.m. Sunday’s starts at 2 p.m.

Scenes will be presented in Elizabethan as well as contemporary language, singing, dancing and sword play. The traditional carvery dinner at 6 p.m. on Saturday will feature turkey, ham and roast beef with all the accompaniments and will support the players as well as the school’s speech team.



Tickets are available by calling 970-328-2930. Prices for show only are: adults, $15; students and senior citizens, $10; under age 11, $5. Reservations are recommended for the carvery dinner on Saturday. Tickets for the dinner and show are: adults, $25; students and senior citizens, $20; under age 11, $15.
