Share your ideas on west Eagle
Vail, CO Colorado
EAGLE – The town of Eagle will ask citizens for their ideas about beautifying parts of west Eagle at an open house from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday in the Eagle Town Hall, located at 200 Broadway in Eagle.
Brief presentations on the work completed so far will be held at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. All interested community members are encouraged to attend.
The “west Eagle planning area” is about 40 acres and includes a significant portion of the land that borders U.S. Highway 6. It also includes residential and light-industrial properties.
The town hopes to provide incentives for well-planned new development in west Eagle so the area gels better with the town, Town Manger Willy Powell says.
“It’s been the desire to improve and beautify the Highway 6 corridor through town and the West Eagle area for a number of years,” he said.
The area also encompasses approximately 10 acres owned by Eagle County, including the former U.S. Forest Service “horse p” and the old Road and Bridge parcels. The county may build senior housing on the property.
