Sheriff: Burglary suspects arrested in Eagle County

EAGLE COUNTY, Colorado – Two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary and breaking into cars in Edwards, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sheriff’s deputies arrested and charged Jessie Medina, 26, of Dotsero, and Devon Ewing, 21, of Gypsum, with second degree burglary, first degree criminal vehicle trespass and theft by receiving.

Phone numbers could not be found for either man.

The Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says it was contacted after Vail police officers, while investigating an unrelated matter, found property on Medina and Ewing that belonged to Mountain Estate Builders.

Upon further investigation it was determined a laptop computer, a camera, checks and other items were taken from the Mountain Estate Builders, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says.

Medina and Ewing also are suspected of breaking into multiple vehicles in the underground parking lot at Riverwalk, the Eagle County Sheriff’s Office says.

Anyone who believes their vehicle was broken into in Edwards at the Riverwalk on Wednesday should call 970-479-2200 to make a report.

Medina and Ewing are currently being held at the Eagle County Detention Facility on $7,500 bonds.
