A juvenile skier and his father left the scene of a ski collision Saturday at the Breckenridge Ski Resort and the sheriff’s office is looking for the pair.

The collision took place at about 12:30 p.m. on the Reverie Ski Run on Peak 6, the Summit County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release. The juvenile skier, a male, who was skiing with his father, collided with a victim who then skied into a tree. The father and son left the scene without providing a name and contact information.

The victim reported the incident to the sheriff’s office at about 7:10 p.m., the release said.

Based on the report, the father and son could be in violation of the Skier Safety Act, which requires skiers and boarders involved in a collision to stop, summon aid and exchange information, the sheriff’s office said.

Details on the victim’s injuries were not released.
