Show your best hand at Spring Back to Vail

Daily Staff Writer

Show your best hand. Your best poker hand, that is, at Spring Back to Vail’s Pub Poker tonight in Vail Village and Lionshead from 7 p.m. until close.

The pub crawl/poker night participants will navigate their way to participating bars of choice, collecting a playing card at each. Raffle tickets will also be given away for thousands of dollars in prizes at the Red Lion, the final stop of the evening.

Everyone must collect a minimum of five playing cards, with no purchase necessary. The goal is to obtain the best poker hand possible from at least five participating establishments and then head to the final stop – the Red Lion in Vail Village – to be eligible for a multitude of great prizes. The better the hand, the more raffle tickets claimed, the greater the chances of winning.

“We spiced up the traditional bar crawl.” explained Jeff Brausch of Highline Sports & Entertainment, the Vail-based sports marketing and events company producing the Spring Back to Vail event. “Pub Poker requires a bit more brain power and interaction. It also kicks off a second weekend of crawls, concerts and cold brews to help launch us into Spring.”

Open to the public, Pub Poker will feature music and dancing. There will also be the opportunity to rub shoulders with the Coors Light Girls throughout the evening.

Pub Poker establishments include The Tap Room and Sanctuary, Red Lion, The Club, FuBar, Vendetta’s, The George, 8150, The Altitude Billiards & Sports Club, Bart & Yeti’s, Sundance Saloon, Garfinkel’s, Lion’s Den and Hypnotyk.
