The annual Shopping Extravaganza at the Outlets at Silverthorne is set for Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Going into the 7th year, this charitable event draws more than 1,000 people for a fun filled day of shopping that helps to support 13 local non profits in Summit, Eagle, Lake and Jefferson counties.

Charities include: Arc Thrift Stores, Advocates of Lake County, Battle Mountain High School Super Boosters, Dillon Valley Elementary, Domus Pacis, Friends of the Library, National Repertory Orchestra, Silverthorne Elementary PTA, Summit County Preschool, Summit Honduras and Swan Center Outreach.

Tickets are $20. Event attendees receive exclusive one day deals at the outlet stores and a free prize ticket for a chance to win one of more than 1,000 different prizes worth more than $22,000. The majority of the prizes are $25 gift cards from the stores. Grand prizes this year include a Coach handbag valued at over $350 and a Loveland Ski Area Season Pass valued at $379.

Also included in the event ticket is a breakfast with mimosas, a catered lunch, a dessert bar, appetizers, wine, cordial and beer tastings in the hospitality suites. Attendees also receive a free goodie bag with coupons to local businesses and Denver attractions. Also in the goodie bag is a stainless steel travel mug and a free 50ml bottle to fill at Olive Fusion with your choice of balsamic vinegar or olive oil. Entertainment provided by John Truscelli and Mike Huberman, the Co.Motion Dancers from the Summit School of Dance and a free photo booth. There will also be the added convenience this year of a shuttle service that goes between the three villages.

New this year, a free shuttle service from Battle Mountain High School to the Silverthorne Outlets will be available. The shuttle will leave the high school at 8:30 in the morning and leave the Outlets at Silverthorne at 5:30 p.m. This is the perfect way to help support Battle Mountain High School Super Boosters.
