Simon Park to teach yoga workshop in Vail
VAIL – The Vail Athletic Club partners with world-renowned yoga expert Simon Park for a three-day workshop on Prana VinyasaTM flow yoga.Park is a senior teacher of Prana Vinyasa FlowTM, an energetic approach to the flow of yoga taught by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa collective of teachers. The three day workshop will take place Friday, March 23 through Sunday, March 25 with four yoga classes offered over the course of the long weekend. A weekend package, which includes all four classes, is available for $108, subject to availability. Surfing the Vinyasa WaveWhen: Saturday, March 24, 9:00-11:30 a.m.Cost: $35 per class/$40 day ofInformation: Experience the latest evolution of Prana Vinyasa FlowTM: dynamic asana, creative flows and integrated pranayama as a moving mediation that will tune and tone you from the inside-out while giving you the tools for navigating life’s changes with grace, power and confidence. Explore several vinyasa waves of multi-dimensional sequences, unfolding an evolution of movement meditation, fluid namaskars, backbends, arm balances and hip-opening to understand the underlying flow of prana. Body Enlightening: Thai Massage & Partner YogaWhen: Saturday, March 24, 3:00-6:00 p.m.Cost: $35 per class/$40 day ofInformation: Simon and friends will teach this flowing blend of traditional Thai massage, partner yoga and gravity-free bodywork. Since co-creating this bodywork for Exhale Spa, Simon’s unique style of bodywork has been featured in Yoga Journal, New York Times and W Magazine. The sequence that he teaches is easy to learn and very effective. It is great for bodyworkers, yoga teachers and anyone who loves massage. Mandala Namaskar: The Healing Power of Circular Movement within Yoga & NatureWhen: Sunday, March 25, 9:00-11:30 a.m.Cost: $35 per class/$40 day ofInformation: In an increasingly structured world, experience the healing power of a mandala (sacred circle) within a namaskar or moving meditation vinyasa. During this intensive workshop, you will learn three of the Mandala Namaskar salutation sequences and integrated vinyasas within the Prana Vinyasa FlowTM developed by Shiva Rea.
