Ski film coming to Vail Mountain School

Special to the DailyThe newest Poor Boyz ski film, "Revolver," will show tonight at Vail Mountain School's auditorium. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show starts at 7 p.m. Tickets are $15 at the door. The event is hosted by Alpine Initiatives, a nonprofit founded by professional skier J.P. Auclair and heli-ski guide Mikey Hovey of Vail, and Students Shoulder to Shoulder of Vail Mountain School. Alpine Initiatives (AI) was established in 2008 as a way to generate a sense of social responsibility within the ski community. The organization helped build a home in Meru, Kenya for children orphaned by HIV and AIDS and has plans in the works to build a second home in Rahiri, Kenya and possibly one in Madagascar.
