Slifer, Smith & Frampton sets January sales record
AVON Slifer Smith & Frampton announced it sold more than $380 million worth of real estate in January. The sales were written in Eagle and Summit counties and included a single-home sales record in Bachelor Gulch for a home that sold for more than $14 million.Slifer Smith & Framptons Eagle County division had $336 million in new written sales, and the Summit County division had $45 million. Both Eagle and Summit counties are continuing to maintain a record pace for real estate sales, a pace that began more than two years ago, said Jim Flaum, president and managing broker of Slifer Smith & Frampton. During the past two fiscal years, Slifer Smith & Frampton has exceeded $1 billion in real estate sales.As a result of record-setting sales, Flaum said that available inventory is beginning to level off. Slifer Smith & Frampton reports show there are approximately 930 available residential listings in the Vail Valley and 908 in Summit County.Slifer Smith & Frampton also recently announced two new brokers had come to work for the company.Molly Olmsted joins Slifer Smith & Framptons Avon office as an experienced real estate broker. She most recently worked for Gateway Land & Development.Paul Gotthelf will join the Bridge Street office in Vail. Prior to joining Slifer Smith & Frampton, Gotthelf owned and operated Gotthelf Jewelers. In 2005 he sold the controlling interest to Terry Betteridge of A.E. Betteridge Jewelers.
