VAIL, Colorado “-The sun should be out in Vail, Colorado for the next few days but the next storm could bring more snow late Wednesday and Thursday.

The National Weather Service forecast for Monday and Tuesday is sunny and warmer, with highs near 60 on Tuesday. But rain and snow is expected mid-Wednesday, leaning to a 60 percent chance of snow Wednesday night and Thursday.

The Weather Service says significant accumulation from the mid-week storm will be limited to mountain passes.

A series of spring storms has replenished Vail and Beaver Creek mountains in the final weeks of ski season. Vail Mountain, which closes April 19, has reported 33 inches of snow in the last seven days, bringing its season total to 416 inches.

Beaver Creek, which closes Sunday, is reporting 37 inches in the past seven days and 383 inches for the season.
