Snow damage temporarily closes Habitat Restore
EAGLE – The local Habitat for Humanity Restore is closed for the time being after heavy snow collapsed part of the roof.
The collapse happened overnight Saturday, McKay said. He said staffers discovered it when they showed up for work Saturday morning.
“We were lucky it happened at night, and not during the day when customers and staff are working in the store,” McKay said.
They’ll reopen as soon as possible, and will continue to take donations, said Tom McKay, Restore manager.
Building inspectors will determine the extent of the damage, McKay said.
The front of the building, the showrooms, remains in tact. The roof on the rear of the building was damaged.
They’ll have more information by early next week.
